The MCEL Opening Event on "The EU and Democracy in the Member States" is the first event of Maastricht Centre for European Law (MCEL) in the academic year 2025-2026.
The activities of the centre include regular organisation of academic conferences and workshops, as well as monthly research seminars to which high-level speakers are invited to discuss a specific topic in the field of EU law.
On 8 April, our speaker is Anuscheh Farahat, Professor of Public Law in European Context at the University of Vienna
Taking into consideration the issues raised by the intertwining of the European economic governance tools recently adopted by the European institutions, this seminar will debate several questions.
