European Public Health is a very international programme that inspires to promote health care, access to health care and healthier lifestyles.

This master’s programme combines research and its application on wellbeing in the work environment. We learn about critical evaluation of research with focus to improve the physical and psychological wellbeing of people in their workplace. I think this is an interesting field for me to contribute to, since many people spend so much of their time at work.

I still remember the very first time I attended a symphonic concert: the overwhelming red plush, the waiting silence in the hall before the conductor came up, the disturbed looks when I accidentally started clapping between parts of a symphony. Those disturbed looks taught me something: apparently, I broke a rule that applies here. Like any social situation, concerts cannot do without unspoken rules. In daily life we hardly think about those social rules and customs, we only notice them when they are broken.

The repertoire of an orchestra such as philharmonie zuidnederland has been fairly consistent for a long time. Many works, especially the 'great' symphonies, have become a natural part of the concert programmes. Can you imagine a concert life without the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Berlioz, Brahms, Dvořák, Bruckner, Mahler and Tchaikovsky?

MaastrichtMBA is a two-year, part-time executive MBA programme endorsed by Maastricht University. The MBA programme is designed for professionals who have at least five years of working experience and a bachelor degree. Students in this programme are united in their curiosity and intrinsic motivation to deepen and broaden their knowledge in management and business. The programme currently does not provide scholarships and visas of any kind.

MaastrichtMBA is an MBA programme offered by UMIO, the executive branch of Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. A School leading in the fields of economics and international business.

Creating impact together

The programme offers a diverse classroom that brings together different thought perspectives and cultures. Our curriculum is geared towards applying new concepts to their own business environments. It is built around three design principles:

  1. Small-scale interactive teaching, where students and their experiences are central. This maximizes the learning effect.
  2. Action-oriented learning encompassing business practice that bridges academic knowledge with business practice.
  3. Emphasise leadership. Through the Leadership Development Trajectory, we let our students grow and enable them to develop their authentic leadership style.
MaastrichtMBA

MaastrichtMBA is about creating impact together. Working in small groups with fellow students and teaching faculty brings the most valuable learning experience of all. Combining our Problem-Based Learning methodology with experiential learning and flipped classrooms ensures a tight connection with practice, which allows our students to apply newly gained insights at their workplace.

Two flavours of MaastrichtMBA

We offer two tracks: an On-Campus and an Online MaasttrichtMBA. Both tracks offer substantial flexibility in terms of when our student's reserve time to study so that they can keep a healthy balance between work, private life and study. We even offer the possibility to switch between the tracks if that matches their needs better. Whichever track you choose, both are part of the MaastrichtMBA programme.

Our students can always rely on the quality of a Triple Crown accredited school, an international classroom with a huge diversity of cultures and perspectives and a curriculum that is engaging and tackles the larger societal challenges such as sustainability and digitalisation.

My extra mile in health: "Sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone to build the future you want for yourself. I want to develop my social skills by being an ambassador for this Master"

Studying at Maastricht University (UM) is a personalised, life enriching experience that prepares you for the future, both professionally and personally. Our bachelor’s and master’s programmes are designed for students who have an intrinsic curiosity in human behaviour and health. Students ‘who want to go the extra mile’ on a professional and/or personal level. What’s your extra mile?

My extra mile in health: "I am always willing to go the extra mile to help others"

My bachelor’s was very research-based, and I liked it a lot, which is why I chose this programme. I believe this master’s will help me discover the study fields I like as well as the ones I don't. In the future, I can clearly see myself in the field of psychology, but I think this year will guide me toward a more specific direction.
