The European Law Moot Court Team will plead in Luxembourg!
On 9 March 2024, Maastricht University’s European Law Moot Court (ELMC) Team, coached by MCEL Members Dr. Pauline Melin and Guido Bellenghi, won the regional final held at the Universidad CEU San Pablo, Madrid. The Team will therefore plead, on 12 April, in the all-European final at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.
After successfully submitting its written pleadings in November, in Madrid Maastricht University’s Team ranked 1st among the 12 participant universities, coming from various European and American countries. In the all-European final, the Team will compete against the winning university of each of the other three regional rounds. The students, enrolled in the European Law School bachelor and master programs, will therefore have the unique opportunity to plead before the judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union. Best of luck!
