Succesful launch BSc Global Studies
During the Introduction week last August, students from 28 countries and scholars from all UM faculties kicked off the new Bachelor Global Studies. The Global Studies team is happy to share impressions of the festive and well-distanced launch in the Theater aan het Vrijthof.
Despite the pandemic, the first cohort of 68 students includes representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, DRC, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States.
FASoS is the host faculty of Global Studies. The programme features semester-long themes such as Environment and Economy, each designed and taught collaboratively by experts from at least three disciplines. Global Studies also has a strong focus on the Global South, including literature from non-dominant discourses and attracting students from Africa, the Americas and Asia.
If you are interested to learn more about our programme or to find out how you could get involved, don't hesitate to contact the Global Studies team.
