At what time of day is the best time to exercise? Scientists Patrick Schrauwen and Mathijs Hesselink are trying to find out through research. One thing is already clear, overweight men achieve the best results in the afternoon. But how is it then that the body benefits more from exercising later in the day than in the morning?
