Student volunteer Jana Echterhoff portraid in Die Welle
Jana Echterhoff studies Globalization and Development Studies at Maastricht University. In the Mexican city of Nogales she is currently collecting data for her master's thesis on immigrants who have been deported from the USA.
Next to that she’s working as a volunteer, helping deported immigrants at the US-Mexico border. Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s international broadcaster wrote a story on her. You can read the story 'The human tragedies at the Mexican Wall' on their website.
