Rok Hrzic and Matt Commers win Education Prizes
Rok Hrzic won the Education Prize for Best Tutor and Matt Commers won the Honors Award of Education on November 20, 2019. These prizes were issued in the domain of the Faculty of Health Medicine and Life Sciences.
Rok (top picture) says that “The award was a very nice surprise and I am very grateful for the recognition. It will motivate me to keep pushing myself to create spaces where students can be innovative and critical, and where they can challenge themselves and each other to learn more and learn better.”
According to Matt Commers (bottom picture) ‘Many staff members within the FHML deserve this award. I am nonetheless humbly honored to receive it this year. The presentational speech by Valeria Lima Passos was a delight and inspiration to me. I will enjoy thinking about whom to pass on this rotating prize (wisseltroffee) in 2020.’
