First FASoS Green Impact Team meeting
On Wednesday 21 November, the first FASoS Green Impact Team meeting took place. A collective of 9 team members strong, consisting of: Charlotte Bens, Manon Beudart, Silvija Burbaite, Timothée Galvaire, John Harbord, Zahar Koretsky, Eliza Marx, Sjoerd Stoffels and Jana Tinkov.
The team nickname themselves Soylent Green – the title of a grim Science Fiction thriller that plays in an ecological crumbling world.
FASoS Soylent Green already ticked off the first Green Impact goals and points, in an UM-wide competition with participating teams. Naturally, FASoS Soylent Green cannot reach the other goals solo. Awareness and small steps are needed from all staff and students, to make the faculty a more sustainable place.
Want to know more about the UM Green Impact initiative? Then the UM Sustainability page, that holds the Sustainability Vision 2030 and Green Impact FAQs, might be of interest for further reading.
Of course, you can also get in touch with team leader Sjoerd Stoffels for further questions. FASoS Soylent Green will from time to time also get in touch with you, whenever raising awareness and support for actions are needed.
Last but not least, FASoS employees and students are cordially invited to the joint UM kick-off event of the sustainability pillars education, research and operations. This will take place in our own Turnzaal on 7 December, registration is required at the special kick-off event page.
