    On 16 April 2018 you received an email concerning the ANW shortfall insurance. In addition you find a FAQ (for this moment only in Dutch, English version will be published on the website soon). Furthermore we would like to point out that if you accrued pension with ABP before 1996, the right to an addition to the survivor's pension might continue to exist. More information can be found on the ABP website (only in Dutch).

    De UM campus in Brussel groeit gestaag. De groei is zodanig dat op maandag 23 april een groter pand in gebruik is genomen. De nieuwe locatie is een stijlvol Art Nouveau-gebouw aan het Montgomeryplein in het oosten van de Belgische hoofdstad.

  • Number of vulnerable youth in Limburg high and rising


    A study by the Maastricht University Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) shows that Limburg has a relatively large number of young people who are neither employed nor in education or training. Moreover, this number is growing, which goes against the national trend. Around half of this group is considered vulnerable and unable to make the transition from school to work.

    Team USA wins international finals of the International Client Consultation Competition (ICCC)


    The USA team was the winner of the 2018 ICCC competition. The Maastricht Faculty of Law hosted the international finals of the International Client Consultation Competition from April 11 through April 14 2018. In total 22 countries participated and sent in a team. These countries covered the complete globe from New Zealand to Illinois via Malaysia, Georgia and Ireland.

    Universities of Applied Sciences (HBO) graduates) performed even better in 2017 than in 2016. Unemployment is thereby back to about the same level as in 2008, before the economic crisis.

    Overweight patients who are counselled by a lifestyle coach will eventually move more, eat a lot healthier and suffer less from the dreaded yo-yo effect. This is shown in research by Maastricht University (UM), in collaboration with Tilburg University and Dutch health insurance company CZ.
