Annelies van der Pauw new chairperson of the Maastricht University Supervisory Board
The Minister of Education, Culture and Science has appointed Annelies van der Pauw as chairperson of the Maastricht University Supervisory Board as of 1 December 2017. Annelies van der Pauw succeeds Truze Lodder as chairperson of the Supervisory Board, whose term of appointment ended per 1 December 2017. Mrs. Lodder was a member of the Maastricht University Supervisory Board for the past ten years, of which she held the position of Chairperson for the last four years.
The Minister has appointed Annelies van der Pauw because of her affinity with academic and scientific work and education. Her experience and expertise in the field of governance and in large or complex public and private companies are complementary to the other Maastricht University Supervisory Board members’ expertise. The Supervisory Board consists of the following members: Annelies van der Pauw (chairperson), Jennifer Barnes, Marc Groenhuijsen, Koos van Haasteren and Renk Roborgh.
Annelies van der Pauw is a partner of the international law firm Allen & Overy LLP in Amsterdam, and is specialized in corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions.
