non-invasive IBD diagnosis: Using volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and the gut microbiome, the main goal is to identify and validate a set of accurate IBD-specific biomarkers. Our approach aims to leverage data obtained from faeces and exhaled breath samples, to ensure non-invasive disease monitoring. The findings may help physicians in clinical decisions, including whether or not to perform colonoscopies on IBD patients.
