Luc de Meyer (L.L.M.)

Shortly after finishing my electronics education, I witnessed the birth of the first microprocessor and it's appearance on the market. I was immediately fascinated by the reprogrammable functionality of this innovative technology. It evolved very quickly from a simple microprocessor into the first Personal Computer, then into the first IBM-PC (text-only!), the birth of Microsoft and many other great names, into the first Apple MacIntosh to the first communication with BulletinBoardSystems using modems  (300 bits / 30 characters per second!) and the beginnings of the first CellPone (GSM) network to network-structures and the birth of the internet, google, wikipedia and our present knowledge-driven society.

This technological revolution has been instrumental in defining my entire career and has brought me since mid-2020 to my present challenge as ICT systems administrator and the "Locale Ondersteuner" (Local Support person) of the department for BioInformatics (FHML/BiGCaT).
