Annemarie Koster (A.)

Within the Master of Epidemiology program, I coordinate the course ‘Writing a research question and outline’ (EPI4930), where students formulate their research question(s) and develop an outline for their thesis project. This course serves as the foundation for the course ‘Writing a research protocol’ (EPI4927), in which students expand their outline into a full research protocol. I am also a member of the planning group for EPI4927.

I also coordinate the Placement and Thesis (EPI4929) for the Master of Epidemiology program. In this role, I ensure that each academic year there is a diverse range of research topics available, guide students who have their own research ideas, and serve as the primary point of contact for any issues or concerns that arise for students or supervisors related to the placement and thesis.

As an educator, I particularly enjoy the role of mentor and I have been actively involved in various programs (e.g. as counselor within the A-KO program). Finally, I enjoy the one-to-one supervision of bachelor and master students during their internship towards the completion of their degree at UM.
