Jonas Heller (J.)
Jonas Heller is a tenured Assistant Professor at the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Maastricht University's School of Business and Economics. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in International Business from Maastricht University, and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of New South Wales, Australia, where his dissertation was recognized with the Dean's Award for Outstanding Dissertations. Before returning to academia, he worked as a project and process manager at Zalando a Principal Researcher at Jimdo.
He teaches bachelor and master courses in Marketing and Marketing Research, and contributes to executive and MBA education on emerging technologies. His research investigates how artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, and other immersive technologies shape consumer decision-making, service experiences, and well-being outcomes such as pension engagement and healthy consumption.
He is the Co-Founder and Scientific Director of DEXLab, Maastricht University's innovation lab for digital and immersive technologies, and Co-Founder of the Limburg Immersive Technology Network. He has secured over €2 million in competitive research funding and has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in journals including the Journal of Retailing, Journal of Service Research, Computers in Human Behavior, and the Journal of Interactive Marketing.
