Henrique Jerônimo Bezerra Marcos (H.)
Dr. Henrique Jerônimo Bezerra Marcos is a docent/lecturer at the Foundations of Law Department at the Faculty of Law, Maastricht University.
His research employs tools from analytic philosophy and logic to address conceptual and practical issues in international law. He has published papers in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, in journals such as the Pennsylvania Journal of International Law, the European Journal of Legal Studies, and Recht-D.
Henrique holds a double PhD in Philosophy of Law at Maastricht University and International Law from São Paulo University.
The findings of his PhD Thesis were awarded with the New Voices prize from the European Journal of Legal Studies at the European University Institute. Henrique is currently editing his PhD as a volume to be published in Springer's Law & Philosophy series.
At the Faculty of Law, Henrique teaches Legal Philosophy, Legal Argumentation (Thinking like a Lawyer), and the Foundations of Global Law LLM course. At the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE), he conducts workshops on dialogue-based approaches to scientific communication.
