Gil Kaufman, MA European Studies
Gil Kaufman was born in Israel but raised in Italy, he has a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Trento and decided to come to Maastricht for a master’s programme in European Studies.
“During my bachelor’s programme I discovered that my passion really lies with Europe and European politics. I chose the specialisation Public Policy and Administration because it’s my dream goal to work in Brussels for a EU institute, like the European Parliament orthe European Commission.. In my opinion, the best route to achieve that is by coming here and study at FASoS. It’s a place where you immediately feel at home. I love the mix of people in my programme which results in multi-faceted debates, especially if politics come into it! And due to the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method, everyone gets the chance to shine. The combination of the topics in my programme, the international environment, practical skills, small groups and interaction makes it a very interesting life experience. To me, this is ‘a home away from home’!”
