Workshop: Flourishing in education
With the mental health of students at its lowest point ever, what can we do as educators to help? This workshop introduces the basics of positive psychology and flourishing.
How can we help our students thrive in an era of mental health struggles?
Together, we’ll look at practical examples of how flourishing has been achieved in various settings and brainstorm how we can apply these principles in our teaching. This session aims to provide you with the knowledge and practical tools to foster well-being for both you and your students.
In this session, you will:
- Learn the fundamentals of positive psychology,
- Understand why conventional mental health interventions are not enough,
- Receive actionable tools for improving your own well-being and supporting your students,
- Discuss with colleagues how we can help students to flourish.
This activity may count towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if relevant to your situation.
PLEASE NOTE that this workshop is in English and is planned to take place on-campus at EDLAB.
