UM Students: Join the Student Journey Game!

Calling UM students of all backgrounds, ages, and study programmes who want their voices to be the driving force behind a brighter, more supportive future for student advising!

Background: What is the UM Advising project?
The UM Advising project aims to improve student guidance by developing a vision statement and strategic plan for UM’s ambitions for 2030. This involves having discussions with students and stakeholders about the priorities and objectives they have for student guidance, what advising students at UM should look like etc. Core to this is ensuring students are included and valued in the UM community. We want to ensure that the student voice helps shape what this vision and strategic plan look like through the Student Journey Game.

Introducing the Student Journey Game: Your voice matters
The Student Journey Game is a dynamic conversation tool designed to give students a space to share their insights on their own journey at UM. Your insights will help identify key areas where UM Advising can enhance your student journey.

What does a game session look like?
Picture this: a laid-back, student-led discussion that delves into the entire spectrum of your student journey at UM. From the first step to the final stretch and everything in between, this interactive session invites you to share your experiences and perceptions. Topics include making friends, overcoming exam challenges, managing study/life balance, and fostering a sense of belonging at UM. Your participation isn’t just a casual chat; it’s a chance to shape the future of student advising at UM. Your thoughts can pave the way for excellence in student guidance, making a lasting impact on the UM community.
