Her political, educational and literary perspectives serve as the framework for portraying Thea Beckman’s two lives: the writer in the public eye and the woman she was behind closed doors. The meaning and significance of her contributions to the realm of children’s literature are also explored here through inquiry into the reception of Beckman’s works.
