Opening Academic Year 2024/25
On Monday 2 September, from 15.30 to 17.00, we will celebrate the opening of the academic year 2024/25 at Theater aan het Vrijthof.
This year’s theme is ‘Limburg’s window on the universe – global innovation and regional regeneration’. We will explore the development of the Einstein Telescope in the region and how our regional traditions regarding education and cross-border collaboration contribute to our future welfare.
In addition to an inspiring keynote lecture by Han Dols (CERN) and an interesting presentation on gravitational waves by Associate Professor Gideon Koekoek along with a student, we will be presenting various awards. In short, it promises to be a memorable afternoon!
