Launch of Maastricht Platform for Community-Engaged Research
The launch of the MPCER: Maastricht Platform for Community-Engaged Research at Maastricht University will take place at Lumière Cinema on October 3, 2019. The event will take the form of two panel discussions, focusing on the importance of doing community-engaged research as well as on the challenges and hurdles that may come with it. The audience will be encouraged to actively participate in the discussions.
MPCER aims to function as a multidisciplinary platform for researchers at Maastricht University who are involved or interested in doing community-engaged research. More specifically, community-engaged research entails:
- the desire to have an impact by doing research to solve societal challenges
- an active involvement of the relevant societal community in the research process
- the development and dissemination of research results with the relevant society community
The event will run from 16.00 to 18.00 and will be followed by a networking opportunity.

The registration operates on a first come, first served basis. Please register online before Wednesday, September 25.
