Jean Monnet lecture by Margrethe Vestager

The Centre for European Research in Maastricht (CERiM) will have the pleasure of welcoming Margrethe Vestager to deliver the 1st Jean Monnet Lecture of the academic year.

Margrethe Vestager is the European Commission executive vice-president for A Europe Fit for the Digital Age since 2019 and European Commissioner for Competition since 2014.

Vestager was minister for Economic Affairs and the Interior in her home country, Denmark, from 2011 to 2014, as well as Minister for Education from 2000 to 2001. She also served as member of the Danish Parliament from 2011 till 2014. Vestager was also the political leader of the Danish Social Liberal Party from 2007 to 2014.
