My experience as President of INPI - National Institute of Industrial Property, Brazilian IP Office, 2015-2019

Mr. Pimentel will give some insight in his work as President of the Brazilian IP Institute at the national IP office. Brazil is one of the most important emerging economies; its policy with regard to the protection, management and enforcement of intellectual property is highly relevant for its trading partners, among which the European Union. With the recently concluded Mercosur-EU Association Agreement (June 2019), the functioning of its IP system will be a major area of focus for the EU.
