C. Sehlbach

Carolin Sehlbach works as Assistant Professor at the department of Educational Research and Development at Maastricht University. She is Chair of the taskforce Programme Evaluation at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, where she focuses on the domain Biomedical Sciences. 

At the School of Health profession education (SHE), Carolin chairs the SIG on Workplace learning. Her research focuses on lifelong learning, workplace-based learning and professional performance assessment. Together with Continuing Professional Development, patient and public involvement and educational quality improvement pique her interest. 

She carries out educational roles within Bachelor and Master programmes across FHML.

 

Expertises

Carolin's research expertise lies in the field of physician's lifelong learning. During her PhD trjactory she conducted research into systems and stakeholders supporting learning, while giving attention to workplace-based learning and patient involvement. 

Career history

Carolin graduated from Maastricht University, the Netherlands, with a Bachelor in Health Sciences and a Research Master in Health Sciences with a specialisation in Clinical Epidemiology. During her  studies she took part in the informal Honours Programme on Medical Education, and the Excellence Programme PREMIUM.
