Y. Jia

Yan Jia is a PhD candidate in Sociolinguistics at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Maastricht University. Her PhD project focuses on the relationship between stylistic practices (including language and dressing practices) and the identity/ies construction of self-identified Hanfu fans in Beijing, China and the Netherlands.

Her research interests cover a broad range of topics, including language practice, dressing practice, language ideology, Hanfu revival, and youth culture.
