Meng Wang has been serving as the Ph.D. Representative at Maastricht University since March 2024, coordinating guidance and support for over 190 PhD candidates and law faculty. She, along with the other three members of the PhD representative team, has organized various workshops and briefings on topics such as research integrity, internal regulations, and AI policy. In this role, she collaborates closely with HR, Diversity & Inclusion, and the Graduate School to develop internal guidelines, and has completed training in conflict-sensitive communication and social safety.
In addition to her institutional activities, Meng is an active contributor to the Women in Law Network in China, where she writes commentaries and reflective essays on international law, gender, and Asian perspectives. She also hosts Q&A sessions to share her experiences as an Asian female researcher in the Netherlands, encouraging engagement with international law among Chinese audiences.
Since 2025, she has contributed analyses to EJIL: Talk!, engaging with international scholars, practitioners, and policymakers on contemporary public international law issues.
