T. Van Overbeke
I am Assistant Professor of Europe Climate and Digital Society at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Maastricht University.
My work focuses on the political economy and comparative politics of structural socio-economic changes, such as automation and the climate transition. I am particularly interested in the role of institutions and policy on labour markets and inequality.

Career history
I joined Maastricht University in 2022, after completing my PhD in European Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
In the past I have been a visiting fellow at the KU Leuven, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and SciencesPo. Since 2022, I also hold a visiting fellowship at the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 2025 I was the recipient of the Charlemagne Prize Fellowship.
