Programme Information
What we offer: M-EPLI (Maastricht European Private Law Institute) is one of the research institutes of the Faculty of Law. We offer hands-on research activities within the field of private law as well as guidance and mentorship. During your internship, you will work closely with researchers at the Faculty of Law and the private law department in particular and become part of a vibrant community of researchers and educators. This community will enrich your academic studies and support you in your future endeavors (e.g., through thesis supervision, reference letters, and network). Moreover, the internship program provides you with know-how on how to write a successful thesis and you will obtain a certificate of completion that is helpful when applying for (academic) positions.
What we are looking for: We are looking for motivated students that have an interest in academic research and activities and are either fluent in Dutch or English. The student must be reliable, and proactive and must be able to conduct the required research or tasks independently and within the set time constraints. The internship will be conducted next to the normal course work and is not remunerated; the student must be able to allocate enough time to the internship program for successful, certified completion of the programme.
You can apply once a year; even a rejected candidate is able to re-apply for the next application round. The internship lasts for a year. At the end of the internship programme, the student will receive a certificate.
The M-EPLI internship program is only reserved to the students of Maastricht University that are enrolled here for the full academic year of 2024-2025.
