Bin Dong (B.)

Bin Dong is a Ph.D. candidate at the Graduate School of Business and Economics, supervised by Prof. Rob Bauer and Prof. Peiran Jiao. His interdisciplinary research unites two strands of recent, significant Finance inquiry: behavioural finance and sustainable finance.

Bin Dong’s research focuses on asset pricing and investors’ motives, including beliefs and preferences, especially employing empirical and experimental (lab and field) methodologies. His current research interest centers on ESG performance evaluation and investors’ beliefs towards SRI (socially responsible investment) and divestment and engagement.

Bin Dong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Economics from Waseda University. Before starting his Ph.D., he worked in several international consulting corporations, mainly as a consultant.
