UM Impact Dashboard

Achieving UM’s sustainability ambitions requires clear direction and reliable data. To support this, UM will launch the first version of the UM Impact Dashboard in 2025. This dashboard will present key data that helps us understand and track our sustainability performance.

The dashboard is designed to support all UM stakeholders in making informed decisions and taking meaningful action toward UM’s sustainability goals. It will also serve as a tool to monitor the impact of sustainability projects and initiatives across the UM. The first version of the  UM Impact dashboard is now publicly available on the UM website. This allows the UM to be transparent towards its students, staff, and the community about the current state of the sustainability performance and our progress towards our goals.

In addition, the dashboard will play a central role in UM’s sustainability reporting. We have begun identifying relevant data points for inclusion in future reports, based on the UM Sustainability Roadmap 2030, and by reviewing sustainability reporting practices from other universities and knowledge institutions, as well as aligning with regulatory frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and voluntary guidelines like the Handreiking Vrijwillige Duurzaamheidsverantwoording Onderwijsinstellingen.

By the end of 2025, we will define the first set of indicators and data points to be included in UM’s sustainability reporting. This initial set will form the foundation of our reporting process and can be expanded and refined over time.

The UM Impact Dashboard will also evolve. Step by step, we aim to build a comprehensive and transparent picture of UM’s sustainability performance—enabling better decisions and more effective action on our path to a sustainable UM.
