UM Faculty of Law ranks among 40 best law faculties in Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for LAW
After entering the top 50 in the THE Law ranking last year, our faculty progressed considerably and climbed from the 46th to the 40th place. Of all Dutch law faculties, only Maastricht, Leiden, Amsterdam and Utrecht were able to reach the top 40 of this prestigious ranking. Our faculty also rises in the ranking of European law faculties from place 16 in 2019 to place 9 in 2020.
The THE rankings table for LAW (introduced in 2018) uses the same range of 13 performance indicators as the overall World University Rankings combined with scores provided under the following five categories: Teaching, Research, Citations, International outlook, and Industry income.
THE is a leading provider of higher education data for the world's research-led institutions and helps students around the world making the right study choice. You can find more information on the THE website.
