Two professors Maastricht University appointed in NWO-WOTRO Steering Committee
Prof. dr. Wiebe Bijker and Prof. dr. Valentina Mazzucato have recently been appointed chair and member, respectively, of the NWO-WOTRO Steering Committee. Other members from this seven-headed group are from universities in Twente, Wageningen, Delft, Groningen and Leiden.

NWO-WOTRO Science for Global Development programmes, funds and monitors innovative research on global issues, with a focus on sustainable development and poverty reduction. NWO-WOTROs research projects are realised by interdisciplinary teams of researchers and in close collaboration with non-academic stakeholders. These partnerships yield solutions for development challenges and strengthen the bridge between research, policy and practice.
