New Shelter City human rights defender in Maastricht

Since September the Faculty of Law will host a new human rights defender within the framework of the Shelter City Project Maastricht. His name is Yamen from Palestine (Gaza Strip). He works for the Al Mezan Human Rights Centre in Gaza. His work entails documenting breaches of international humanitarian law and international human rights law which take place in the area.

 Shelter City Maastricht is a collaborative project in which the University, the Municipality, Amnesty International and Mondiaal Maastricht participate; see sheltercity.nl
