Gartner’s 2019 Supply Chain Top 25 is out
Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company has published the 2019 edition of its annual Supply Chain Top 25. The ranking identifies supply chain leaders around the world and describes their best practices. It serves as a set of examples for other supply chain leaders to adopt and adapt.
This year, Colgate-Palmolive leads the Top 25. The company rose to the top spot from fourth position last year, showing a “strong financial performance, combined with its focus on an aligned organisation and impressive work in corporate social responsibility”.
Dutch chemical company Akzo Nobel has entered the Supply Chain Top 25 for the first time. Another Dutch giant, Unilever, joined Apple, P&G, Amazon and McDonald’s in a special "Masters" category. Unilever was given that status in recognition of its sustained leadership after seven consecutive years among the top five of the Supply Chain Top 25.
