Multi Factor Authentication
By activating Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), an extra layer of security is added to the login process for both staff and students. This makes logging in from both the office and home even safer. MFA adds an additional step to the login process.
MFA is enabled for:
- Web-based UM services, such as Intranet, Student Portal, Canvas, and SAP SuccessFactors
- VPN: secure network connection with the university (staff only)
- Virtual workspaces (SDA for students and VDI for staff)
After logging in with your UM username and password, you will be prompted to use the MFA method you have set up for your account.
