Microscopy Autumn School 2024
4 - 8 November 2024
Advanced methods in Microscopy
Aim: Gain knowledge and training on advanced methods in light and electron microscopy
Addressed to: PhD students, postdocs and technicians of UM and MUMC+
Attendants: 16 participants (4 groups, 4 participants per group)
No registration fee; participation required for all 5 days from 9.00 to 17.00
Deadline for registration: 18 October 2024
Methodology
- Introductory lectures in the morning (9.00 - 11.00)
- Workshops in the afternoon (12.00 - 17.00)
The lectures will cover Advanced Light Microscopy, Room Temperature and Cryo-methods for Electron Microscopy, Transmission and Scanning Electron Microscopy, Cryo-Electron Microscopy and Image Processing.
In the practical courses you will: prepare your samples, acquire images with light and electron microscopes, process your data, interpret your images and your reconstructions.
