M. Xu

Iris is a PhD student in the Department of Private Law and the Law and Tech Lab. She holds an BA degree in Psychology and Anthropology & Sociology from Lafayette College in the US and a Research Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

Her Ph.D. research, under the supervision of Prof. Caroline Cauffman and Dr. Aurelia Tamò-Larrieux, focuses on an empirical inquiry to the effectiveness and acceptance of personalized law in privacy protection perceived by social media users in the EU, China and the US.
