Lisa Waddington (L.B.)
Lisa Waddington’s principal area of interest lies in European disability law and European equality law. In 2000, she received an ASPASIA award from the NWO (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research). Between 2004 and 2007 she coordinated a large EU research and education project on European non-discrimination law. She also coordinated the involvement of Maastricht University in the FP7 EuRADE project (European Research Agendas expanding Disability Equality) and the ongoing Marie Curie Intial Training Network DREAM (Disability Rights Expanding Accessible Markets).

Lisa Waddington is Professor of European Disability Law in the Department of International and European Law. Her Chair was established in cooperation with the European Disability Forum.
Professor Waddington works with colleagues in the Human Resources Office and the Diversity and Inclusion Office with the aim of making Maastricht University more inclusive of staff with disabilities, and to develop appropriate policies to promote that goal.
