My professional interests include:

• Development and investigation of techniques to improve body image (i.e., how people think and feel about their own body)
• Investigations in body functionality (i.e., everything that the body can do, rather than how it looks) and its role in body image
• Investigations in positive body image (e.g., body appreciation)
• Investigations in gender and women’s psychology, especially involving sexual objectification and its influence on women’s body image and well-being
• Investigations in media and its influence on body image and well-being
• Investigations in social psychology, especially at the interface between social psychology and clinical psychology
• Evaluation of intervention techniques using meta-analysis
