Jacob Moody (J.E.)
I am a PhD candidate researching the impact of crises on sustainability transitions supervised by Prof. Frank Boons and Nicole Rijkens-Klomp. Empirically, I will be focusing on the 'energy crisis' (triggered by the Russian invasion of Ukraine) and its impacts on the renewable energy transitions in the Netherlands and the UK. Theoretically, I will be employing theories of practice, trying to account for whole systems of production and consumption with this lens.
I teach primarily on the Masters programme 'Sustainability Science, Policy, and Society', tutoring in courses such as 'Sustainability Science' and 'Policy for Sustainable Innovation'.
I previously studied the MSc in Sustainability Science, Policy, and Society (Maastricht University), as well as an MSc in International Business and Strategy (Lancaster University), before undertaking this PhD.
