Eva van Vugt (E.Y.)

Eva van Vugt works as an assistant professor of constitutional law at the Public law department of  Maastricht University. She teaches and coordinates constitutional and administrative law courses in the Dutch bachelor programme and in the Dutch master programme Staats- en Bestuursrecht.

Eva defended a PhD dissertation cum laude in June 2021 at Tilburg University on the changed meaning of Article 50 of the Dutch Constitution ('The Staten-Generaal represent the entire people of The Netherlands'). The dissertation was awarded with two prizes: one for the best PhD dissertation of Tilburg University in 2021 and the Dissertation Prize of the Staatsrechtkring (The Dutch association of constitutional lawyers), which is awarded  once in every three years.
