Maudite soit la guerre (Alfred Machin, Belgium 1914, 38 min.) is the story of two friends who unintentionally become enemies after the outbreak of the Great War.
La Belgique Martyre (Charles Tutelier, Belgium 1919, 69 min.) was the first post-war film from Belgium. This patriotic film is about a young Flemish farmer’s son, whose father entrusts the family homestead to him when he is mobilised.
