Location Sneak Peek
ECPC’s anniversary conference takes place at a unique location in the heart of Maastricht: The Saint Jans Church.
The church boasts a long-standing history dating back to the 13th century and is particularly known for its distinctive 79-metre-high red tower.
Originally build from marl, a highly porous type of stone, the tower required protection from the elements. During the Middle Ages, it was therefore coated in a red paint made from a mixture of marl from local marl caves and iron ore. In later restorations periods, this traditional coating was replaced with modern paint.
Hosting our conference at this location, we are proud to share a piece of Maastricht’s rich history as we celebrate our 10th anniversary with you!
