CAPHRI PhDs Summer Meeting

Register now for the CAPHRI PhDs Summer Meeting! On 22 June 2021, Ivo George and Sarah Hiley will share with us their knowledge on how to make societal impact and how to write about it for your dissertation.

Ivo George works for the UM Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO), and is actively involved in supporting researchers from UM to apply their scientific knowledge into practice. His work focuses on increasing the impact of UM knowledge on our society. His contribution to the CAPHRI PhDs Summer Meeting will introduce us to ways of achieving societal impact by means of engaging with the relevant stakeholders. 

Sarah Hiley works for the UM Language Centre and UMIO, and focuses on effective communication, academic writing, English as a medium of instruction, developing intercultural competencies, and creating engaging content that helps professionals and their organisations gain the knowhow and network to create meaningful impact. Her contribution to the CAPHRI PhDs Summer Meeting will introduce us to different strategies you can use to effectively communicate the impact of your research to different audiences.

There will be a chance to collaborate and engage with your peers and distil the answers to some key questions in relation to your research. If you’re interested to learn more afterwards, you can enroll in the full course on Impact Paragraph Writing organized by the Language Centre.
