Specialisations, majors and minors
Some faculties offer the option to choose specialisation(s), major(s) and/or minor(s). In that case an additional tab is shown in the My Study section.
1. Navigate to Specialisations
- In the Main menu open My Study
- Navigate to the Specialisations tab
2. Specialisations
Select programme displays all the current registrations
- Current specialisations displays the currently registered specialisation(s)
The information icon means the specialisation is booked by the faculty and can’t be changed here
Combination indicates how many specialisation(s), major(s) and/or minor(s) can be chosen from the listed subjects
3. Add or change a specialisation
- Select the programme from the dropdown
- Select up to the maximum allowed combination of specialisation(s), major(s) and/or minor(s) by selecting them from their respective lists
- Deregister for a specialisation, major or minor by deselecting them
Click the ‘Apply’ button
4. Confirmation pop-up
- A pop-up appears with a summary of the selection
- Click the ‘Apply’ button (or the ‘Discard’ button)
5. Course registration warning
- Mind that courses still need to be booked for the specialisation, major and/or minor
- Click the ‘Close’ button
6. History
- After selecting a specialisation, major or minor it will appear in the History section
- Click the triangle next to Show to display the History
7. The history displays:
- All changes
- When they were made
- Period for which they apply

When leaving the tab with unsaved changes a warning pops up with the possibility to Discard or Apply
