The SBE Learning Academy (LA) is dedicated to equipping our teachers with the essential competencies in education and learning and supporting their professional development from the start until the end of their academic careers. We cultivate a collaborative community of teaching staff that exchanges experiences and acquires educational knowledge, providing tailored support, resources, and opportunities for continuous growth and innovation.

Our vision is to serve as the central hub within SBE, driving educational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous innovation. We aspire to empower faculty members to excel as teachers, educational researchers, and leaders in education, driving transformative changes in teaching and learning practices. Through our efforts, we aim to significantly contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and the creation of an environment for students to learn and develop.

The LA team comprises members with diverse profiles, including those dedicated solely to the LA and others who contribute to both ERD and LA activities. Notably, many LA members have broader roles within the ERD or other departments. This diversity enriches the LA's capacity to offer a wide range of training and support services, leveraging expertise from both research and practical perspectives.

In summary, the LA’s governance structure is designed to support its mission of advancing teaching quality through a blend of research-informed training and practical competence development. By maintaining a close connection with ERD, actively connecting to students and teachers, and actively participating in various institutional councils, the LA ensures that its efforts are integrated and responsive to the needs of SBE.
