Practical support and other facilities

All practical matters can be found on our intranet, UMployee.  These pages contain information about work, leave, career development and the Local Consultative Body for UM staff members. You can also find links to forms and find answers to frequently asked questions. Please visit this page for all information on UMployee.

While it states that it is only for UM employees, all PhD candidates have access. If not, please ask your PhD coordinator within your graduate school or research institute..

Confidential advisors and confidential contact points at UM

While there is the Concerns and Complaints Point at the central level, each faculty has their own confidential advisor. Add what topics can be discussed with the confidential advisors. That could be the PhD study coordinator at your graduate school/research institute or another researcher working at the school or institute.

Nationally, PNN (Promovendi Network Netherlands) developed a support compass: PhD Support Compass - Promovendi Netwerk Nederland

PhD candidates can freely decide whom to contact, either the confidential advisor or the confidential contact point and at what level - UM, faculty or school or institute.
