M.D. Pang

Michelle Pang is employed as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Health Services Research. In 2024, she obtained her PhD at the Department of Human Biology where she investigated the prolonged effects of sweeteners and sweetness enhancers on health, obesity and safety, with a specific focus on insulin resistance, lipid metabolism, ectopic fat accumulation, and gut microbiota. Her research was carried out in an in vivo clinical setting. Michelle Pang received her BSc in Health Sciences at Maastricht University in 2017. In 2019, she received her MSc Biomedical Sciences with the specialization in Nutrition, Physical activity, and Metabolism.
