Bart Zwegers is a lecturer affiliated with the history department of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He teaches in the BA Arts and Culture, the BA European Studies and the MA Arts and Heritage. Zwegers’ doctoral thesis Heritage in Transition: Global and Local Challenges in Germany and the United Kingdom, 1970-2010 dealt with the history of heritage preservation in the Germany and the United Kingdom. His research interests include cultural history, political culture, tangible and intangible heritage, industrial archaeology and UNESCO World Heritage.
