ESAB students receive certificates for their contributions in 2025

In 2025, eleven UM students joined the EDLAB Student Advisory Board (ESAB) and contributed their ideas to cross-faculty discussions on teaching, learning, and educational innovation.

As the year comes to a close, each of them has received an ESAB certificate in recognition of their role in promoting education innovation at UM in 2025. EDLAB thanks all members for their dedication and enthusiasm.

In a LinkedIn post, Alexandra Gropius, master’s student in Learning and Development in Organisations, looked back on her experience as an ESAB member:

"Wrapping up a year of student engagement 💡

As I near the end of my master’s in Learning and Development in Organisations, I’ve been reflecting on some of the experiences that added depth to my year, including my time on the EDLAB – Maastricht University Centre for Teaching & Learning Student Advisory Board (ESAB) at Maastricht University.

Being part of this diverse, cross-faculty board gave me the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with students and staff across academic disciplines
- Explore and shape innovative approaches to learning and educational design
- Facilitate dialogue around diverse learner needs and inclusive education
- Translate complex educational challenges into creative, learner-focused solutions

It’s been an inspiring space to practice what I’m passionate about: helping people learn, grow, and thrive in environments that truly support them."
